Ichi the Killer (Japanese: 殺 し 屋 1, Koroshiya Ichi) is a Japanese film directed by Takashi Miike from 2001, adaptation of Hideo Yamamoto manga. Cast Story

Anjo, the yakuza boss of Kakihara (Tadanobu Asano) is murdered in a cruel manner, and his room loses 300 million yen. Traces of his murder are carefully hidden. Kakihara wants to find a boss, starting an investigation into Suzu's torture (Susumu Terajima), a member of a competitive gang. The man turns out to be innocent, and Kakihara cuts off a piece of his tongue and offers it to Funaki's gang boss. Eventually, Kakihara leaves the gang with a group of faithful people and continues to search for boss Anjo. He learns that he is responsible for the title Ichi (Nao Omori), in fact a mere boy manipulated by the mysterious Jijii (Shin'ya Tsukamoto).
