Method Riva-Rocciego
The Riva-Rocci method is a non-invasive method of measuring systolic blood pressure developed by Scipione Riva-Rocci. Method description
A sphygmomanometer is assumed on the arm. One hand is filled with air cuff while the other is pulse monitoring on the radial artery. The cuff is inflated to about 20 mm Hg above the pressure at which the heart rate has disappeared and then slowly evaporated. The cuff pressure produced by the cuff closes the artery. The systolic blood pressure is the value at which blood pressure is restored again - the onset of turbulent blood flow. Modifications
Currently, in the measurement of pressure, both systolic and diastolic, the Korotkov method is used as a modification of the Riva-Rocci method.
Other automatic modifications are used to measure the pressure. For the systolic blood pressure measurement, the pulse wave pressure fluctuates and the diastolic blood pressure decreases due to the change in blood flow from the turbulent to the laminar artery. Bibliography
