Synagogue in Nowy Sącz (50 Jagiellońska Street)

Synagogue in Nowy Sacz - a private prayer house located in Nowy Sacz, 50 Jagiellońska Street.

The synagogue was built at the turn of the 19th century. It was originally a wooden building plastered on a straw. During the Second World War the Nazis devastated the synagogue. Since the end of the war it has been used for other purposes. The wooden structure was dismantled and replaced with brick.

To this day, from the original elements of the prayer room, only a movable part of the roof was preserved, which during the feast of Sukkot was lifted with a special turnstile. For some time now it is no longer lifted due to its damaged structure and no crank.
