Szymanowska
Szymanowska - a jurydyka founded north of New Warsaw in the first half of the 17th century by Maciej Szymanowski, the starost of Wysogrodzki. Currently, this area of jurydyki is located mostly in the district of Żoliborz and sliced in Śródmieście (about Inflancka Street). Description
Jurydyka covered a long belt north of today's Inflancka Street (southern border) from the Vistula river to Powązek. In addition to numerous farms in the area of later Żoliborz, there are also two later jury: Radziwiłłowska and Inflancka. To the north of the jury, there were grounds belonging to the Holy Spirit Hospital, located at the New Town Gate in the New Town.
In 1774, Augustinian Orłowski, rector of Collegium Nobilium at ul. Miodowa and co-worker of Stanisław Konarski, for the construction of a convent for the gentry. The estate encompassed the area between the Vistula River, the Guard Guards and the Beluga River. The campers have allocated this area to the summer residence of the college. Due to the picturesque nature of the buildings and gardens around them, it was named Joli Bord or Beautiful Border. At the end of the 18th century this area was incorporated into Warsaw. The name of this jury comes from Szymanowska Street in the district of Śródmieście.
In 1807, after the occupation of the Collegium by the French army, it was decided to transfer the school to Żoliborz permanently. The area of the former Piarist estate in the nineteenth century was covered by the fortifications of the Russian Citadel.
