Alexander Landy


Aleksander Landy (born October 24, 1881 in the village of Żdanowo in Siberia, died 17 April 1969 in Warsaw) - pediatrician, pediatrician, social worker.

The son of Siberian exiles: Stanisław Landego and Felix of Lewandowski Land, exiled by the tsarist authorities to the distant hinterland of Siberia for spreading socialist ideas and independence. He was a member of the board and co-author of the programming concept of the Robotics Society of Friends of Children (RTPD). This organization (reorganized after the occupation as the Society of Friends of Children) has provided a wide range of care and education activities (organizing nurseries, kindergartens, colleges, clinics, jordan gardens, day centers, libraries and reading rooms) to ensure the comprehensive development of children and young people from neglected workers. / p>

For many years he lived and worked in the Żoliborz district of Warsaw, the first WSM housing estate in Poland, inhabited by working families and left-wing intelligentsia. He headed the RTPD, a branch of the RTPD, who carried out the idea of ​​creating pioneering medical, educational and educational counseling centers under the name of "Children's Health" in the area of ​​pioneer settlements. Throughout his professional life he combined medical practice with social activities; along with a large group of enthusiasts around us, promoted the creation of local communities where the priority was to meet the biological, psychological and social needs of children and young people.

The author of many works on the prevention and health of infants and preschool and school children. June 20, 1947 for outstanding merit in the field of child care awarded with the Officer's Cross of the Order of the Rebirth of Poland.
