LLuís Maria Xirinacs Lluís Maria Xirinacs (born 1932 in Barcelona, ​​August 11, 2007 in Ogassa) - Spanish Catholic priest, anti-French opposition activist and Catalonian senator.

He was enlightened as a 22-year-old. He was a prominent opposition activist to the regime of General Franco Franco, for which the church authorities were pushed by the government in 1963, from Barcelona to Balsarena, and three years later to Sant Jaume de Frontana, for defending the Democratic Union of Students. Co-founder of the Catalan Congregation, activist of the Catalan nationalist movement, arrested in 1971, ran a hunger strike. He resigned from the priesthood in the late 1970s. Suspected for contacts with the ETA was prosecuted by the Spanish prosecutor in September 2001.
