Borys Połozow


Борис Николаевич Полозов (born April 1, 1888 in Kharkov, died October 23, 1966 in Buenos Aires) is a Russian military general (major general), senior officer of the Russian Corps of Defense. Commander of 1 Cossack school of junior junkers during World War II

He completed a grammar school in Kharkov and then a Cossack military school in Novosibirsk. Served in the 17th Dragoon Regiment. From 1913 he was an officer in the 7th Belarusian cavalry regiment. He participated in the First World War. In 1917 he was promoted to the rank of captain. On November 20 this year he joined the Cossack troops of the White Army. From March 5, 1918 he commanded 2 sotnias of the cavalry of the Kornian regiment. Then he served in the regimental cavalry regiment and regiment. At the end of 1918, the rank of colonel assumed the command of the Kalmyk Cavalry Regiment. From August 12, 1919, he was the commander of the 1st Infantry Regiment of the Cossacks. 1920 - two independent brigade Cossacks. On October 25, he was promoted to Major General. After the evacuation of white troops from Crimea to Gallipoli in November, he settled in Turkey. In 1921 he moved to Yugoslavia. After its occupation by the German army in 1941, he cooperated with the occupying forces. In 1942 he volunteered for the Russian Corps of Defense, who fought in the Balkans with partisans. From December 6, 1944 to February 4, 1945, he was the commander of the 1st Cossack junk school, located in Villa Santina, in northern Italy. At the end of the war he went to Argentina to emigrate to Argentina where he died on October 23, 1966.
