Jirás-Zuelzer-Wilson syndrome (Zürich-Wilson syndrome), a syndrome of total colonic aganglionosis (TCA), a rare congenital malformation syndrome, in which total aganglionosis (unconsciousness) large intestine. In Hirschsprung disease, for which the total aganglionosis variant is usually considered, the intramuscular and submucosal ganglia are missing on the shorter or longer segment of the colon. In the Jiráska-Zuelzer-Wilson syndrome the intestine is completely devoid of coils and the symptoms are heavier. The disease was described independently by Arnold Jirásek and James Leroy Wilson and Wolf William Zuelzer.
