Józef Janowski (Museumist)


Józef Janowski (born 1928 in Warsaw) - PhD in humanities, archaeologist, museumologist, poet, graduate of the University and Jagiellonian University.

Museum creator in Krosno and its director 1957-1976, initiator and prospector of the oldest traces of settlement in the Krosno region, eg; in Wietrzno, in Czarnorzeki. Member of the Polish Writers 'Association, president and co-founder of the Literary Teachers' Association in Krosno, author of more than 300 poems collected in 10 volumes of poetry. Much of his literary work is devoted to the Beskid, Dukla, Wietrznu, Równe and other towns of Krosno.
