Maria Tiemigriukowna
Maria Tiemigriukowna, owner Kuczenoj (born in 1544 or 1545-1546, died 1569) is a daughter of Prince Tadigin Ajdarowicz, the wife of Ivan IV. Curriculum vitae Princess Kuczenoj came to Moscow with her father Tiemigriuk and soon dazzled her with the beauty of the recently widowed Ivan Tsar. She went to Orthodoxy, accepting the name Maria. The wedding took place in August 1561. The feast lasted three days. At that time, residents of the capital and foreigners were forbidden to leave their homes: the authorities feared that the subjects would not interfere with the wedding ceremony. With Russia, many Cherkess and Tatars came to Russia. The new spouse had a bad influence on her husband, inciting him to bad deeds and disobeying with the Orthodox clergy. Most of the time he spent in the Kremlin, while Ivan spent most of his time in his residence in the Aleksandrów Sloboda. In 1563 she released her only son, Vasil, who died after a few months.
Before her death Maria left with her husband to Vologda and became ill. The news of the plot in Novgorod forced Ivan to return to Moscow. The carriage of a sick wife was entrusted to the carrer Basmanov, but the journey was long and arduous. She was taken by the order to Słoboda Aleksandrowska, where she died. Ivan suspected that Mary had been defeated by his enemies, which became a pretext for intensifying the tsarist terror that had become a victim of the Cherkesses. Bibliography
