Michał Chałoński
Michał Hubert Chałoński (born 3 November 1943 in Kielce) - Polish politician, economist, Member of the Sejm X and 1st term. Curriculum vitae
In the years 1962-1972 he worked as a manager of the production department at the Kielce Transportation and Construction Company, and in 1972-1975 he was the manager of the Chemadin Equipment and Transport Facility in Kielce. Next, he was employed in the Kielce Building Association and the Technical Services Association of the Invalids Society in Kielce.
In 1980, he joined "Solidarity", during the martial law he was interned for the period from 13 December 1981 to 1 July 1982. After his dismissal, he was employed at the Technical Services Association of the Invalids Society in Kielce. He was a member of the Bishops' Help Desk, he was involved in the distribution of the underground press. In 1986, he was sentenced to a term of imprisonment of one and a half years with conditional suspension of execution.
He was a member of the 10th term of office of the Civic Committee (during which he co-founded the Forum of the Democratic Right) and the first term of office of the Democratic Union. In 1992, together with Alexander Hallem, he founded the Conservative Party. In the government of Jerzy Buzek he directed the Military Housing Agency (1998-2001). He belonged to the Conservative-People Party, and in 2004 joined the Party Center (deregistered in 2008).
Since 1991 he is a member of the Polish Chamber of Commerce. He held the positions of chancellor and vice chancellor of Kielce Trade University. Bibliography
