Reason - a real-time collection of software synthesizers, samplers and effects, created in 2000 by the Swedish developer group Propellerhead Software. Successor of an earlier product, labeled ReBirth RB-338. In the summer of 2011 appeared the sixth version of Reason program, less than a year later free update to version 6.5, which introduced the possibility to purchase synthesizers or effects offered by other manufacturers, "Rack Extensions."

The program simulates real device racks - you can manually connect raster elements using virtual cables.
