2 Kurlandzki Pułk Lejb-Ułański Emperor Aleksandra II (ros. 2 nd Lieb-ulan Courland Emperor Alexander II regiment) - pułk kawalerii Armii Imperium Rosyjskiego. Tsar Alexander II

The unit was formed on May 16, 1803, during the reign of Tsar Alexander I. Romanov. Repeatedly renamed. In the years 1884-1907 was named 5 Kurlandese Regiment Lejb-Dragoński Emperor Alexander III. It was dissolved in 1918. The leaders of the regiment were the emperors: Alexander II Romanov and Alexander III Romanov.

Feast day: August 30th. Localization in 1914: Calvary (Lithuania).

On January 1, 1914, the regiment was part of the 1st Cavalry Brigade of the 2nd Cavalry Division in Suwałki (2nd Army Corps).

During the First World War, brothers Jozef and Stanisław Bułak-Balachowicz fought in the ranks of the regiment. Bibliography
