ConceptGCC

ConceptGCC is a fork of the GNU C ++ compiler, which implements the initial concept of types, planned for the forthcoming new ISO standard for C ++ programming language, known as C ++ 1x. Developed by a team led by Douglas Gregor (co-author of the C ++ 1x (N2081) concept) at the Open Systems Laboratory at Indiana University. ConceptGCC is an up-to-date implementation of the proposal. Both the proposal and the ConceptGCC are constantly evolving and being maintained in more or less parallel fashion. The current version of ConceptGCC is considered an alpha version and should therefore be considered highly experimental.

The C ++ version implemented by ConceptGCC is known as ConceptC ++. ConceptC ++ must be considered an experimental extension of the C ++ standard until the concept proposal is included in the final version. The plans are to bring the ConceptGCC extension code back into the GCC mainline once the C ++ standard is established. Initially as an optional extension for GCC 4.3, and then as part of the C ++ implementation.

In addition to concept types, ConceptGCC also includes GCC patches that implement several other planned C ++ 1x capabilities, including:
