Itamar Siani


Itamar Siani (born 1941 in Sana) is an Israeli painter.

He was born in Sana'a, a family of Yemeni Jews. In 1949, after his father's death, he and his mother and three brothers emigrated to Israel. He studied at London University and the Goldsmith College of Art in London, and with artists such as Marcel Janco, Moshe Mokadi, Zvi Meirovitz, Yaacov Agam and Josef Schwarzman. The theme of his paintings is folklore, religious customs, faces of the Yemenians; He uses oil technique in full color. His work was exhibited in Israel, the United Kingdom, Spain, and Poland.
