Labyrinth of Death (game)

Citadel of Blood is a board game released in 1982 by Eric Lee Smith, SPI (Simulations Publications Inc.). In Poland, the game was released, without licensing rights, by Encore.

It is a short (90-120 min.) and simple adventure game (with RPG elements), whose action is located in the title labyrinth. Players (1-6 people) play the heroes (three heroes and three pupils) with specific skills, who work together to find the labyrinth of black targets and destroy them.

Interesting innovation of the game is the board, which is drawn from a large set of tokens representing the various elements of the board (chambers and corridors) and finds (items, transitions to other levels). The player or players moving the team, each time in motion, select the next tile to match the already existing layout, creating with each new game a different layout of the maze, sometimes greatly differentiating the difficulty of the game by descending to the lower, more difficult levels of the labyrinth.
