macrosporangium
Seedling ear; up the microsporangia, down the macrosporangia
Macrosporangium, megasporangium - one of the two types of germplasm present in various plants. In it there are few or even single spores called macrospora, which in turn develop through the production of only female organs - in the ovaries and in them eggs. Macrosporangia are usually larger than microsporangia. They grow on leaves called macrosporophylls, often modified and different from other leaves.
Macrosporangia are found in different species of forks, in ferns from the order of salvinians, in the genus and in the genus. In the genus, the megasoprangium functions as a center in the gills.
