Edward Romuald Boguslawski
Edward Romuald Boguslawski (born February 7, 1848 in Warsaw, died 19 March 1917) is a historian of the Slavs.
He was the son of writer Edward Wojciech and Rozalia Karasinski. After graduating from Suwałki High School (1865) he started his studies at the Faculty of Philology and History of the Main School (1865-1869). From 1870 he worked as a private teacher in Warsaw. From 1908 he was a member of the Warsaw Scientific Society.
He was a Slavophile; He believed that Germany was the main enemy of Poland and Slavs. He was loyal, striving for a settlement with Russia. In his work, he proved the Slavonic autochthonism, believing that the Slavs lived in the area between the Rhine, the Vistula and the Dźwin.
