Technical Documentation
Technical documentation - one of the types of non-documented documentation. It is in the form of technical descriptions, construction calculations, drawings, plans, cost estimates and schedules. It is stored in the archives of users, investors, contractors, in the archives of the institutions, which have the authority to issue building permits and archives of design units.
In general, the technical documentation is used to carry out the investment, to maintain the facilities in good technical condition, to produce specific products, to maintain the technological lines and to maintain the efficiency of the individual equipment.
Depending on where it is stored, it has different storage periods. It is decided by the qualifiers, approved for state design units by the state archives. Unless this document is classified as Category A, it is required to keep it for users, building managers and building permit holders for the duration of the facility and additionally for a period of five years after its destruction, loss or cessation.
