The eloquence is correct

emendandis eloquentiae vitiis (about the improvement of pronunciation) - a work written by Stanisław Konarski in Latin. It was published in Warsaw in 1741. This work played an important role in the campaign for the purity of language and style, and was also of great importance for the revival of pure Polish. The dissertation was directed against the Jesuit style school which, in his opinion, cared about forming the form of expression, omitting its content and giving formal and rhetorical education over the philosophical (social sciences, logic, ethics).

The author postulates to neglect the mastery of ready-made speech formulas, distracted style, macaronisation in texts, syntactic complexions in which the thought of speech dies. Konarski acknowledges the knowledge of the object that is to be talked about in relation to the art of good thinking; He recommends to follow Cicero's speech as the classic balance between nature and art. Konarski's remarks focused on the art of rhetoric both in Latin and in Polish.
