Danuta Hryniewicz (born December 29, 1914, died September 16, 2007) is a veterinary surgeon who, as a breeder of Polish lowland sheepdogs (Kordegarda breed), contributed to the reproduction and development of this breed. She was an honorary member of the Kennel Club in Poland.
She was born in Harbin (Manchuria), as an exile granddaughter. He returned to Poland in 1920. She studied and graduated veterinary medicine in Lviv in 1939. After the war she worked as a veterinary surgeon in Pomerania, Wladyslaw and the longest in Łeba. She spent the last years of her life in the area of Oleśnica Śląska, where she was buried.
She became famous as the owner of a kennel, which had a male, "Dragon of the Kordegarde". This dog has become a model for the first official breed standard for a Polish lowland sheepdog. Hryniewicz used as a breeding method inbreeding, contributing to the fact that most of the modern breeding lines were based on the "Dragon of Kordegardy".
September 15, 2013 in Łeba, Kościuszki Street, the monument was unveiled - a bench in honor of Danuta Hryniewicz, who presents Polish lowland sheepdogs sitting on it. Bibliography
