Helena Kuczalska Prawdzic
Helena Kuczalska Prawdzic (born 1854 in Podul on 30 April 1927), pedagogue, pioneer of physical education and sport of women in Poland. Studied in Stockholm at the Royal Central Institute of Gymnastics. Founded in 1813, the institute was the first university in the world to train gymnastics teachers, and since 1860, gymnastics teachers. On her return to Poland she founded the Swedish Gymnastics, Healing, Health and Massages Department for Women and Children in Warsaw (1892), and since 1900 she has been teaching gymnastics. In 1906 she opened the Swedish School of Swedish Gymnastics and Massage, the first and only institution in the Kingdom of Poland to teach pedagogues in the field of physical education. Helena Kuczalska-Prawdzic was also an activist of the Ogrodów Games and Sports Movement. In the RJ's, modeled on the jordan gardens and founder of "Grażyny" (1906), "the first independent female gymnastic organization in Poland, who raised many Polish champions and record holders." Co-founder (in 1912) of the Warsaw Rowing Club, Physical education of women.
