He began his studies at a carpentry school in Brest on the Bug River. In 1936 he went to Zakopane to study at the School of Wood Industry. He graduated in 1939. After the war he undertook studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, in the sculpture studio Xawery Dunikowski. During his studies he cooperated with Dunikowski at the head of the Wawel Castle or at the formation of the Monument of Silesian Insurgents on Św. Anne. After graduation he worked as a teacher in Rydułtowy. In 1954 he settled in Zakopane. For a year he worked in a high school. In the years 1987-2005 he ran his own house (former Teodor Axentowicz's studio) with his own gallery, where he collected dozens of his works. He had a daughter Ludmiła.
