Johann Adolf von Loss
Johann Adolf von Loß (born 20 June 1690, died 25 August 1759), Saxon politician and diplomat.
In the years 1711-1718 the deputy in Petersburg. In the documents of the Dutch policy, Anthonie Heinsius mentioned Johann Adolf von Losz. Piotr Wielki gave repeatedly to August II that apart from Loza he could send his "Polish" deputy (he went to Russia Stanisław Chomętowski).
In 1718, a Polish courier, Lesiowski, arrived in Russia, demanding that the Czar withdraw his troops from the Commonwealth. Minister Ernst Christoph von Manteuffel ordered Johann Adolf von Loß to do all this. However, Polish and Saxon interests were not always convergent.
In 1741, Johann von Loß's brother, Christian von Loß (1698-1770), succeeded him as a deputy in Munich, while Johann Adolf was transferred to Paris. Bibliography
