120 mm działo bezodrzutowe L4 Mobat

L4 Mobat - a British non-recoil cannon.

At the end of the 1940s, the L1 BAT was introduced to the British Army. His successor was the L4 Mobat. The same caliber was 235 kg lighter. Weight reduction was accomplished, inter alia, by the elimination of the tail with the armrest mounted to it (tow hook attached to the end of the barrel). The gun was equipped with an optical sight and a Bren km which was supposed to be used to fire the target. The machine gun was mounted on the left side of the barrel. L4 gun had a broken barrel and wedge lock with vertical wedge movement. A single nozzle was attached to the wedge.

In the 1970s L4 Mobat was replaced by the lighter L6 Wombat. Bibliography
