PivotTable (Polish terminology in the LibreOffice Calc and Microsoft Excel spreadsheet) - Analytical spreadsheet tool that allows you to filter, select, rearrange columns and rows of data in a spreadsheet to achieve results that are different, clearer and Usable from the original (source) data layout, without violating the original source table or tables. Typically, a pivot table is generated by a spreadsheet in a separate tab, based on the user's command prompt, and can be automatically updated when source data is changed.
This technique provides invisible information generally in a complex and multidimensional original table layout (so called source data) and makes them more readable to the user. This is why PivotTable technology is valued as an analytical tool, especially in the office environment.
In the OpenOffice Calc worksheet, a similar function is called a data pilot.
