Prose poetry - a kind of prose, which includes works of a reflective, lyric-descriptive nature. These works are rich in metaphors, sophisticated vocabulary and are clearly rhythmic, repetitive, parallelistic.

Examples of works written in poetic prose are the books of the Polish nation and the Polish pilgrimage of Adam Mickiewicz, everything is poetry by Edward Stachura or about the heroic horse and the crumbling house of Jan Kasprowicz. The poetical poems are also written in the beginning of subsequent acts of the Nie-God comedy by Zygmunt Krasiński.
