Antalkidas
Antalkidas - (? - 367 p.n.) - Spartan politician and leader. Antalkidas during the Corinthian War (394 - 387), since 392 was a Spartan marshal in Sardes at the court of the Persian satrapy Tiribazos. In his message, he proposed to the Persian king Artaxerxes II Mnemon the withdrawal of Greek cities in Asia Minor, in return for guaranteeing the autonomy of all other cities, which would have resulted in the dissolution of all unions outside the Peloponnesian Union led by Sparta. At the beginning, the king and Athens rejected the proposals, but after addressing Athens on the side of Euagoras I, the king of Cyprus, in the battle with the Persians.
