Dadocrinus

Dadocrinus - the extinct type of trilobi (Crinoidea) from the Triassic period.

The most common type of marine limestone found in marine art is the so-called. The Germanic basin, which is in the territory of Poland and non-Alpine Germany. It is one of the most abundant macroscale, forming the so-called. crystalline limestone. In addition, in small quantities also found in the Tatras, the Alps, Bulgaria. Also described in New Zealand, however, the taxonomic status of this finding is questionable. In Poland, Krynoid shoals built mainly from Dadocrinus are particularly popular in Upper Silesia and in the Świętokrzyskie Mountains. Quite numerous in the Polish Tatra Mountains, eg in the peak parts of Giewont.

Dadocrinus usually behaves in completely disconnected skeletons, but skeletons of particularly great scientific and collectible value, such as Gogolin, are known. Fossils of different species of Dadocrinus are important in dating rocks and are important fossils for the lower lichen, especially in the Tatra Mountains.
