Katharine McCormick


Katharine Dexter McCormick (August 27, 1875 - December 28, 1967) is an American biologist and suffragan. She sponsored research on a contraceptive pill. In 1904, as a second woman, she graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She was involved in the Suffragette movement. She also worked with Margaret Sanger on birth control. It also funded a significant portion of Gregory Pincus and John Roc's research and clinical trials leading to the creation of a contraceptive pill. Authoritative control (person):
