Leszek Zbigniew Burakowski (born June 28, 1950 in Chełm) is a Polish state and local government official, twice the voivode of Chełm. Curriculum vitae

He completed his studies at the Technical University of Szczecin. He held managerial positions in various companies.

In the years 1990-1994 he was the governor of Chełm. Then, for three years, he was the vice-chairman of the management board of the Municipal Energy Company in Chełm. After the founding of the government, Jerzy Buzek was again (on the recommendation of the Solidarity Electoral Action) governor.

After the territorial reform he was appointed director general of the Lubelskie Voivodship Office. In the years 2002-2006 he was Deputy President of Chełm Krzysztof Grabczuk. He joined the Christian Self-Government Movement at that time, sat in his council, later associated with the Civic Platform. In 2007, he assumed the post of general manager of the Lublin Marshal's Office, then until 2010 he was the secretary of the voivodship, after which he remained a member of the local government administration. He has also been chairman of the board of directors of the International Lublin Trade Fair and vice-president of the Board of the Bug Euroregion Local Government.
