Enjoy Smiłewski


Goce Smiłewski (or Smilevski, born April 9, 1975 in Skopje) is a Macedonian prose writer, playwright and essayist.

He studied in his hometown and at Charles University in Prague. He is an author of essays and dramas, as well as three novels. The first was Planetata's work on neiskustwoto published in 2000. The second novel, The Conversation with Spinoza (Mac., Разговор со Спиноза) appeared two years later. The book was awarded with the novel of the year, awarded by the Utrinski Wesnik. This novel has been translated into several languages, including Polish. This is a fabulously fictional biography of the Dutch philosopher Baruch Spinoza. Smilevski's next novel is "Zygmunt Freud's Sister" published in 2007. In Polish, it was published in 2014 by W.A.B. In 2010, this novel was honored with the European Union Literary Award.
