O'Brien (Year 1984)


O'Brien - character from George Orwell's book 1984. O'Brien was a member of the Inner Party. He was the main participant in the provocation against Winston Smith, which consisted of introducing him into the world of fictitious brotherhood and stopping him on the charge of the mindless. Later, after Smith was caught, O'Brien was the chief supervisor of Winston's "treatment" process, and also took part in this process as Winston's "keeper." The name O'Brien is not given in the book. O'Brien lived in the hotel for the members of the Inner Party along with Asian-style servant Martin.
