Traktat Pinckneya


Pinckney's treatise - it was a treaty between the Kingdom of Spain and the United States signed at Eskurial on October 27, 1795.

In February 1796, under consideration of the US Congress, adopted by him on 7 March. Ratified by Spain on 25 April 1796. Posted on August 3, 1796.

Its signatories were the first Spanish Minister Manuel de Godoy and the United States Extraordinary Member of the United States Thomas Pinckney

The treaty dealt with the friendship between the two peoples and regulated the border of Georgia (USA) with Spanish Florida and:

Diplomatic success made Pinckney a well-known and respected figure, so in 1796 the Federalist Party presented him as a counterpart to Jefferson in the presidential election.
