Culture Tas (also called taska culture) - Neolithic culture evolving in the last quarter of the fifth millennium BC. in upper Egypt.
Eponymous position in Dajr Tasa. The characteristic of this culture was the black-brown and red-brown ceramics, and in particular the brownish-red cups with white fill.
The population was growing wheat and barley, fishing for bone hooks (including ivory), and also collecting ostrich eggs.
In the shrunk position, on the side, often in a leather shroud.
Taco culture is sometimes associated with the early stage of Badari culture. Bibliography
