Kalamaja Cemetery in Tallinn
Kalamaja Cemetery in Tallinn was one of the oldest cemeteries in the capital of Estonia and was located in the suburb of Kalamaja in the northern part of the city. The tombs of thousands of Swedish and Estonian citizens over 400 years - from the 16th or 17th century until 1964 when it was closed and destroyed by the Soviet authorities. The area of the cemetery now forms a park. History Historians agree that it was created in the 16th or 17th centuries.
