Michał Piotrowski (Polish general)


Michał Piotrowski (born 1771 Falenica - died 1825 Warsaw), Brigadier General of the Duchy of Warsaw.

He graduated from the Corps in Warsaw and served in the 1st Cavalry National Cavalry Brigade. He ended his service in 1794 as vice president. From July 1794 commander of the Vistula defense section near Warsaw, appointed general. After rising out of the army, he returned to service in 1807. Again General as commander of the Infantry Brigade in the 2nd Infantry Division.

In the Austrian campaign commandant Modlin and the commander of crossing the Vistula. In 1810 the military commandant of the Radom department. Participant of the Saxon and French Campaigns 1813 - 1814. After the fall of Napoleon I brought home remnants of the Polish Army from Denmark and Hamburg. From 1815 commander of the Riding Brigade in the army of the Kingdom of Poland.

He was a member of the Freemason's Box of Unity Slavonia. Bibliography
