Roberto Balado


Roberto Balado (born January 15, 1969 in Jovellanos, February 2, 1994 in Havana) is a Cuban super heavyweight boxing champion, Barcelona Olympic champion (1992). He fought in super heavyweight (over 91 kilograms) and dominated this category in the first half of the 90s. He won the title of amateur world champion three times (1989, 1991 and 1993), five times as a champion of Cuba. In 1991 he won the Pan American Games, and a year later won the gold medal. In Barcelona, ​​he also received the Val Barker Cup for the best technically boxed boxer.
