Nowcasting
Nowcasting - English term for weather forecast "for now." Describes the current state of the weather and its development over the next few hours, typically the next 6 hours or less.
Very useful for land transport (for example, forecasts for drivers, information for snowmaking services) and aviation, horticulture (eg local spring frosts) etc. It often refers to strictly defined small areas such as the airport area, With such a short forecasting period, you can achieve significant accuracy and detail.
Despite the advances in numerical weather modeling (mathematical models), better results are achieved when the "for now" forecast is based on the traditional method, since the most up-to-date (satellite, radar, etc.) data can be included. The person preparing the forecast may also consider minor local weather events and their development within the next few hours. It also takes into account the detailed knowledge of local conditions and sometimes refers to intuition.
