Zbigniew Siemienowicz


Zbigniew Siemienowicz, lit. Zbignev Semenovič (born 26 September 1958 in Vilnius) - Lithuanian physician, activist of the Polish community in Lithuania, Member of the Sejm of the Republic of Lithuania (1992-1996). Curriculum vitae

In 1984 he graduated from the Grodzieński Medical Institute with the specialty of a surgeon and later worked at the Słonim district hospital, from 1987 in Vilnius and after 1990 in Sollechniki.

In 1988 he became involved in the Polish nationalist movement in the Lithuanian Republic, becoming a member of the Lithuanian Union of Poles.

In 1992, he was elected a Member of the Lithuanian Parliament from the Union of Poles in the Vilnius-Soleczniki district. He served until 1996. Between 1993 and 1994 he was a delegate of Lithuania to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. He headed the Polish parliamentary faction (1995-1996). Since 1995 he has been a member of Poles' Electoral Action in Lithuania.

Since 1999 he was the head of the Vilnius Chamber Orchestra. In the years 2000-2003 he was a councilor of the district council of Soleczniki. He is the President of the Polish Medical Association in Lithuania. Bibliography
