Antanas Gravrogkas
Antanas Julijonas Gravrogkas, author. Antoni Julijan Gravrogc (May 18, 1880 in Szadowo, died April 1, 1958 in Kaunas) - Lithuanian mechanic engineer, social and political activist, mayor of Kaunas (1932-33).
He came from a noble family. He studied in Telsia at the beginning of his studies, later attended high school in Mitawa (1892-93) and Shawlach, who graduated in 1899. From 1900 he studied mathematics in Petersburg and later studied at the Petersberg Institute of Technology (1903-10), where he became involved in Lithuanian Social Democracy.
After graduation he worked at the factory in Yekaterinoslav and later (1916-19) in Smolensk. In 1920 he returned to Lithuania, taking up work on the railway. From 1922 he worked as a lecturer at the University of Lithuania, after his dissolution in 1950 he taught at the Kaunas Polytechnic Institute.
He was socially and politically active: for a long time he was the vice president of "Šaulių sąjunga". From 1932 to 1933 he was the mayor of Kaunas.
