Atreus


Atreus (Greek: Atreus, Atreus, Greek: Atreus) - in Greek mythology, King Myken. Entrance to the tolos of Atreia

Both brothers settled in Mycenae, where after the death of the local ruler, Atreius took over. Tiestes seduced the wife of Atreius, which prompted him to take revenge (during the feast he served his brother roast the son of his son, Tantal). Tiestes cursed Atreius and his family, and contributed to the death of Hippodamea and Atreius, who murdered his nephew, Ajgistos (Egist).
