Egnacjusze

Via Egnatia built by Cnaeus Egnatius Egnatia (gens Egnatia, Egnatia) - Roman breed (gens) of Samnicki origin. At least some of its members settled in Teanum. Probably at the end of the war with allies, most of them moved to Rome - it is known that two were admitted to the Senate [Cic. Pro Cluent. 48]. It appears, however, that one of the branches of the family remained in Teanum - Cicero in one of the letters to Attica [ad Att. VI lists Egnatius Sidicinus.

We know the following cognomins: Celer, Maximus, Rupus and Veratius.

It is possible that Ignen and Ignacy are the nomen gentilic names
