Hydrochoria

Hydrochoria has allowed the spread of coconut palms on islands far from thousands of kilometers away

Hydrochloride - one of the ways of spreading plant seeds and spores. It is often found in aquatic and marsh plants (algae, mown, alder, yellow water lily and others). Less often in plants growing in less humid places such as in moss, sedum, evening primrose. Then spores or seeds are spread by rain (rainwater) or water from the reservoirs. The hydrochloride plant, for example, is found in palm trees, allowing for the spreading of coconut palms and Se palm trees to even very remote sites (eg islands).

Seeds and fruits have special hydrochlorination properties in their construction. Prior to soaking water, they are covered with a thick coat or waxy coating. Floating even large and heavy fruit on the water allows special tissue - crumble the air. Some diaspora are raised by lighter oil than water. Some fruits have special Italian or scalloped covers (so-called rain throwers) that allow the fruit to open during rain and to discard seeds. Bibliography
