Actio de effusis vel deiectis - in Roman law an action for damage caused by throwing or pouring out of a building.

In case of damage caused by pouring out or throwing something out of the window of the building, the person who occupied the room (habitator), due to the difficulty of encountering the real perpetrator, responded - under the lex Aquilia. The claim could have been for the double value of the damage (duplum) if it was material (actio mixta). The amount of compensation awarded in the case of injury to a free man depended on the judgment of the judge (actio bona fidei). For the killing of a free man, a penalty of 50000 sestercans was imposed, which could be claimed by every actio popularis within a year. Bibliography
