Weimarar syndrome - a term used to describe the paralysis and self-destruction of the parliamentary democracy system. They are featured in:

The occurrence of the Weimar syndrome often foreshadows the demise of democracy and the establishment of an authoritarian or totalitarian regime.

The name comes from the German Weimar Republic (1918-1933), whose final period of existence is a classic example of the distribution of the pluralistic system. The growing economic crisis, the weakness and powerlessness of democratic parties, and the growing importance of totalitarian parties (communists and national socialists) led in 1933 to "seize power" by Adolf Hitler.
