Agricultural qualification - for the duration of Art. 160 of the Civil Code of 1964 absolute requirement for the acquisition of agricultural property. This article ceased to apply on 1 October 1990. The 2003 Agricultural Formation Act specifies the agricultural qualifications an individual must meet to qualify as an individual farmer.

When it comes to practical qualifications, a person must have been working or working in a farm for at least 5 years. As far as theoretical qualifications are concerned, they must have at least basic education or secondary or higher education. Evidence for the fulfillment of the agricultural qualification is presented to the notary when preparing the contract.

No qualification means that the pre-emptive right is exercised by the Agricultural Property Agency. The exception to this sanction is when the buyer is a close relative of the seller.
