Association of Art Historians (SHS) - a nationwide association based in Warsaw and 12 field offices. It associates art historians, people working in this profession and other people, pursuing the statutory objectives of the association.

Founded in 1934 as the Polish Association of Art Historians, in 1946 it was transformed into the Association of Art Historians and Culture, and 6 years later the Association of Art Historians. SHS organizes sessions, detours, seminars and readings. He publishes his own publications (especially materials from SHS sessions and seminars), and since 1950, with the Institute of Art of the PAN "Bulletin of Art History". Since 1952 he has been running the Library of the Association of Art Historians. prof. Jan Bialostocki (Old Market Square 27 in Warsaw). The Association manages the Castle Complex in Niedzica (since 1949) and the Castle and Park Museum in Wojnowice (since 1986).
