Branchiata

Branchiata - in some of the older taxonomic subtypes of arthropods, containing crustaceans and trilobites, opposed to unileaf (Uniramia).

Transillic plexus is a marine arthropod (aquatic), whose legs are bilateral, in addition to the crotch function also performs a respiratory function. Recent paleontological findings indicate that paleozoic insects had multiple branches. In the jaws of the second pair, the primary bilateral is also visible. Consequently, unilateral branching is a secondary feature typical of terrestrial organisms (another way of breathing). At present, skeleton is treated as an artificial group and unirama is derived from trilobites.
