Bücklein Theater in Cracow - a theater created in 1993 by Adam Kwaśny as part of the Bücklein Institute (established in 1991), operating until 2000. The name of the theater comes from the fictional character created by Adam Kwaśny, Samuel Bücklein traveler and thinker).
The Bücklein Institute did not have its own premises. The shows took place in various places in Krakow. At the time of the Bücklein Theater no longer was the play "Katarzyna". The team won their own place in the back of the European Hotel (unused, former laundry, factory and warehouses). It was the first private theater in the city after the 1989 regime change.
In the theater, there were plays such as "Watt" (directed by Marek Kędzierski), "The End" (directed by Marek Kędzierski), "Dream Game" (directed by Marek Kalita), "Minne" Totenfesser, "Don Alfonso" (productions by Adam Kwaśny), "Chairs" (directed by Izabella Połabińska), "Bird" (directed by Adam Sroka), "Raskolnikov" (directed by Marek Gaja, Marek Kalita and Edward Zentara), "Bungo 622" (directed by Marek Fiedor).
There were also regular meetings such as: Summer Bückleina, Music Festivals: Audio Art, Lost Music, Jass Festival and Student Song Festival, as well as events such as: Contemporary Dance, Theater Reminiscences and Music Days. Cracow composers. They presented there Acid Drinkers, Fish, Maciej Maleńczuk, Wlodzimierz Kiniorski, Grzegorz Turnau, Sklips and Blix Bargeld.
The last event that took place in the theater was the New Year's Eve party in 2000.
